As the elderly population in Greenland grows, it&#8217;s crucial to establish a welfare system that supports their health in tater years. The research question delves into how the elderly&#8217;s resources are perceived and experienced, and how they can be integrated into community development and maintenance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">The methodology involves ethnographic fieldwork in the town of Sisimiut and the nearby village of Sarfannguit, focusing on seniors living at home and participating in their daily routines. Addi\u00adtionally, semi-structured interviews and sharing circles will be employed to gather data from the elderly, other community groups, and professionals. This data will undergo thematic analysis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">The project&#8217;s objective is to pinpoint and promote positive elements aiding individuals, local com\u00admunities, and organizations to flourish. It also seeks to prevent seniors from feeling marginalized and lonely, as their experiences, knowledge, skills, and culture are invaluable to society.
