Ice-types will be linked to physical and chemical ice properties and environmental parameters in order to obtain a better understanding of the impact of melting ice in Greenland fjords. We will sample ice and icebergs and develop an ice-type photo archive with links to ice properties and environmental parameters.<\/p>\n<p>Besides producing scientific value, the project aims at involving the general public, because icebergs are a beauty for the eyes of both local people and tourists. We will make the pictures available on a website and invite people to send their own photographs as well. So the research project will involve the local society and promote research in Greenland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Community inclusion methods:<\/strong><br \/>\nBesides producing scientific value, the project aims at involving the general public, because icebergs are a beauty for the eyes of both local people and tourists.
