Generel information om bestandens st\u00f8rrelse og eventuelle \u00e6ndringer er sparsom, ligesom der vides meget lidt om dens generelle \u00f8kologi.<\/p>\n<p>I dette projekt unders\u00f8ges bestandens udbredelse og st\u00f8rrelse i Kapisillitelvens vha. fangst-genfangst fors\u00f8g. Desuden indsamles sk\u00e6l og v\u00e6vspr\u00f8ver til analyse af laksens vandringer og f\u00f8devalg. Begge dele sammenlignes med historiske betegnelser, hvorved der f\u00e5s indsigt i, om bestanden er i grengang og\/eller har enten \u00e6ndret adf\u00e6rd, som f\u00f8lge af forandringer i det fysiske milj\u00f8. Et sidel\u00f8bende projekt unders\u00f8ger elvens temperatur, som ligeledes kan sammenlignes med historiske optegnelser.
