It is possible to suggest up to two candidates, who will carry out the work as principal investigator together.<\/em><\/span><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">With the joint declaration of June 9, 2022, Naalakkersuisut and The Danish Government decided to initiate a historical inquiry into the relationship between Greenland and Denmark in the period from World War II to the present day.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">On June 22, 2023, Naalakkersuisut and The Danish Government agreed on the<span style=\"color: #005058;\"> <a style=\"color: #005058;\" href=\"https:\/\/nis.gl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Terms-of-reference-Historical-inquiry-into-the-relationship-between-Greenland-and-Denmark.pdf\">Terms of Reference for the historical inquiry into the relationship between Greenland and Denmark<\/a><\/span>, which sets the framework for the research project.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">According to the Terms of Reference, Greenland Research Council and Independent Research Fund Denmark have been tasked, jointly, with recommending a small number of suitable candidates to the Naalakkersuisoq for Education, Culture, Sports, and Church and the Danish Minister of Higher Education and Science for the position of principal investigator.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">With this open call, everyone &#8211; public as well as private organizations and individuals &#8211; can submit one or more proposals for candidates, including self-nominations.
