The first stage of the programme (call for pre-preproposal) has just been announced with a deadline 4 June 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-acb75ec elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"acb75ec\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Published 13 March 2024<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0468b3a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0468b3a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Greenland Research Council is a funding partner of the Nordforsk call &#8216;Sustainable Development of the Arctic&#8217;.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">This is the first Nordforsk call with <span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 18.6667px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">Greenland<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 18.6667px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 18.6667px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span>the Faroe Islands as funding partners. It is also the first time, that the Nordic countries have teamed up with Canada and the USA to launch a NordForsk call.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt; text-align: var(--text-align);\">Information about the first application round, the full call for proposals, and guidelines for the application procedure can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nordforsk.org\/calls\/sustainable-development-arctic-call-pre-proposals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration-line: underline; color: #005058;\"><strong>the Nordforsk website<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0cb0985 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0cb0985\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; color: #000000;\">Facts about the call:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">The main aim of the call is to support research collaboration among participating countries in the Arctic region to bring forward new knowledge on how to ensure the sustainable development of the Arctic.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">The call has a total budget of up to 190 million <span style=\"font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">NOK <\/span>for Nordic partners,<span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-weight: 500; text-align: var(--text-align);\">specific funds are available to Canadian and US partners.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\"> Greenland Research Council has contributed with 2.5 mil. DKK.<\/span> The a<\/span><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align);\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; text-align: var(--text-align);\">mount of funding that may be sought for Nordic partners in a project consortium is 18-24 million <\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; text-align: var(--text-align);\">NOK<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; text-align: var(--text-align);\">. The programme is organised as a real common pot which allow researchers from the Nordic countries to apply on equal terms irrespective of their national contribution to the call budget. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Specific guidelines for Canadian and US partners apply.
