The text must be suitable for publication (max 200 words):<br \/>\nDer findes i dag meget lidt viden om den rumlige og tidslige variation i suspenderet sediment i gr\u00f8nlandske s\u00f8er, som modtager smeltevand fra Gr\u00f8nlands indlandsis. Smeltevand fra Gr\u00f8nlands indlandsis f\u00f8rer store m\u00e6ngder af finkornet, uorganisk materiale med sig. Under transporten fra is til hav vil dele af sedimentet bundf\u00e6lde i s\u00f8er og elve, mens resten vil n\u00e5 det marine milj\u00f8.<br \/>\nDet suspenderede sediment har stor indflydelse p\u00e5 disse \u00f8kosystemer, idet sedimenterne p\u00e5virker n\u00e6ringsstof-tilg\u00e6ngeligheden og lys-nedtr\u00e6ngningen i vandmasserne (Hawkings et al. 2015, Bhatia et al. 2013). Indholdet af suspenderet sediment i s\u00f8erne har endvidere indflydelse p\u00e5 den samfundsm\u00e6ssige udnyttelse af vandressourcerne til bl.a. vandkraft. De lokaliteter i Gr\u00f8nland, hvor der potentielt kan udvindes mest energi ved vandkraft, er s\u00f8er, som modtager store m\u00e6ngder smeltevand og dermed sedimenter fra Gr\u00f8nlands indlandsis. Det suspenderede materiale i vandet vil for\u00e5rsage slid p\u00e5 vandkraftturbinerne, og har derfor indflydelse p\u00e5 anl\u00e6gsomkostningerne via materialevalg samt vedligeholdelsesudgifterne.<br \/>\nVi vil i dette projekt inddrage eksisterende og ny viden omfattende b\u00e5de vandpr\u00f8ver og satellitbilleder for at tilvejebringe et f\u00f8rste kendskab til den rumlige og tidslige variation i indholdet af suspenderet sediment i Gr\u00f8nlandske s\u00f8er, som modtager smeltevand fra Gr\u00f8nlands indlandsis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Metoder for inklusion af samfundet og formidling overfor samfundet:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Asiaq afholder \u00e5rlige hydrologiske brugerm\u00f8der med Nukissiorfiit og Gr\u00f8nlands Selvstyre. Nukissiorfiit driver de vandkraftv\u00e6rker, der allerede er etableret i Gr\u00f8nland. Gr\u00f8nlands Selvstyre ved Departementet for Erhverv, Arbejdsmarked, Handel og Energi arbejder i disse \u00e5r p\u00e5 at markedsf\u00f8re Gr\u00f8nlands vandkraftpotentialer til udenlandske firmaer og investorer. Resultaterne af projektet vil blive pr\u00e6senteret ved et af disse brugerm\u00f8der, og s\u00e5ledes blive videregivet direkte til de institutioner for hvem resultaterne forventes at have st\u00f8rst samfundsm\u00e6ssig interesse.<br \/>\nDe historiske og nye data om suspenderet sediment i s\u00f8er, som samles i dette projekt vil umiddelbart bidrage til det st\u00f8rre forskningsprojekt, PROGLAKE (finansieret af Carlsbergfondet), se n\u00e6rmere beskrivelse i Bilag 1 og 2. Herigennem forventes resultaterne at indg\u00e5 i en peer-reviewed videnskabelig artikel.
