Dette forskningsprojekt har til form\u00e5l at modellere udviklingen af snepakken over nyere og historiske perioder med fokus p\u00e5 at identificere forekomsten og tykkelsen af islag.<\/p>\n<p>Projektet kombinerer lokal ekspertise fra Asiaq og Gr\u00f8nlands Naturinstitut og viden om arktisk snemodellering fra Universitetet i Uppsala.<br \/>\nUnders\u00f8gelsen vil skr\u00e6ddersy en ny snemodel til gr\u00f8nlandske forhold ved at bruge datarige Kangerluarsunnguaq som kalibreringssted og teste snemodellen for f\u00f8rste gang i Gr\u00f8nland. Forskningssp\u00f8rgsm\u00e5lene involverer \u00e6ndringer i snepakken, dannelsen af islag og deres sammenh\u00e6ng med vegetationsd\u00e6kning og -type.<br \/>\nProjektet vil k\u00f8re en snemodel med h\u00f8j opl\u00f8sning, der udnytter eksisterende data og logistiske platforme og overholder FAIR-principperne for datadeling. Den valgte metode involverer anvendelse af en koblet energibalance\u2013sne-model, udviklet af projektpartneren Van Pelt, med et detaljeret datas\u00e6t til forcering, kalibrering og validering af modellen. Unders\u00f8gelsen vil bidrage med v\u00e6rdifuld indsigt i den tidsm\u00e6ssige og rumlige udvikling af snepakken p\u00e5 unders\u00f8gelsesstedet samt bane vejen for bredere brug af modellen i Gr\u00f8nland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Metoder for kompetenceopbygning i Gr\u00f8nland:<\/strong><br \/>\nDette projekt er et samarbejde mellem de eneste to naturvidenskabelige forskningsinstitutioner i Gr\u00f8nland, Asiaq og Gr\u00f8nlands Naturinstitut samt Uppsala Universitet. Projektet vil udnytte faciliteterne og igangv\u00e6rende forskningsaktiviteter p\u00e5 alle tre institutioner, samtidig med at de lokale kompetencer og viden kombineres. En kandidatstuderende deltager i sneunders\u00f8gelsen i Kobbefjord.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Metoder for formidling til det gr\u00f8nlandske samfund:<\/strong><br \/>\nProjektet sigter mod at udgive en peer-reviewed artikel om \u00f8kosystemrelevante snepakke-egenskaber og \u00e6ndringer i disse over den historiske periode. Projektet og resultaterne vil blive pr\u00e6senteret p\u00e5 nationale (Greenland Science Week) og internationale (f.eks. EGU, ASSW, IASC\/NAGS) konferencer, workshops og m\u00f8der.
